Fleas are not only a huge nuisance for your pet but carry with them some serious health concerns. Fleas carry tapeworm eggs. Pets can get tapeworms by swallowing infected adult fleas, which can occur when animals groom themselves or other animals. Furthermore, pets are often allergic to flea saliva and break out in severe allergic skin reactions. Fleas can be a nightmare to get rid of. Don’t wait for the problem to occur, rather proactively prevent it.
Ticks carry a parasite that is transmitted to dogs when the tick bites them. This causes biliary or, as it is commonly known, tick bite fever. The first signs that are commonly noticed by owners in dogs with biliary are lethargy and a loss of appetite. Other common signs that may also be noted by the owner include pale gums and inner eyelids.
Certain patients develop complicated biliary in which several organs including the heart, kidneys, liver, brain, and lungs are affected. Dogs can die from this.
